We are a small and dynamic automotive manufacturing company, founded on a strong belief in technology, quality and high performance. We are based in Southern California and serve the U.S. and international racing and high performance engine markets.

We are currently seeking self-motivated graduate engineers to join our exciting Nascar/Open Wheel Racing parts manufacturing program as trainees for

CNC Machinist Milling / Turning:

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

This position has responsibility for all aspects of the operation and maintenance of a brand new, state-of-the-art 6-axis CNC Milling / Turning machine.

The successful candidate will typically have :
" Recently graduated from a recognized Engineering Program
" Some practical experience with +3 axis CNC machining equipment (set-up/basic operation)
" Some experience reading/drawing blueprints
" Some experience measuring machined components using manual inspection tools
" Strong communication skills
" A dynamic personality and open-minded attitude to learning new equipment and methods.

Candidates should be able to:
" Demonstrate their ability to read a manufacturing drawing and their understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing.
" Demonstrate some knowledge of Milling and Turning processes.
" Demonstrate some knowledge of CNC controls systems as applied to machine tools (G Code etc)

Any experience/training in the following would be an advantage:
" Simple ERP systems
" Quality Management Systems (such as ISO 9000/9001)
" LEAN, Six Sigma, JIT, Theory Of Constraints etc

This position would be ideal for a practical, "hands-on" graduate, with the passion required to manufacture very high accuracy components for high stress applications and top level racing engines. There will be a strong technical element to the daily responsibilities, and all our manufacturing takes place in a clean and air conditioned environment.
