UMich-Dearborn will be attending this event (7-23-06) and we're hoping to convince a couple of the other local teams to bring cars out. There's still a week left to register for $40/driver for four laps. You can have up to 4 drivers per car, and of course you can bring older cars if you want to bring more drivers.

Here's more info...

Dan,

I was thinking about having OU attend, but noticed the STRICT noise level restriction of under 75 dB! Now, if you're anything like Oakland, we have a heck of a time getting 110 dB, let alone 75.

Also, do you need to have a SCCA license?

Thanks
Carly

If I remember/read the rules, thats 75 dB measured at the edge of the property. So ~50-80ft away at the closest point. We should all be fine. But I guess its worth checking again.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to pass on this event myself, although UM-D should still make it.

Ok...that's good to hear. I only saw the flier. Maybe I should start reading all the rules a bit more. Ha!

Dan, is UM - D going to the Uni of Toronto Shootout? Oakland is making the trip in Sept. You all should make the trip.

Cheers!
Carly

Yes we are. Possibly sporting a preliminary turbo setup by then, but not likely.
