anyone else taking these before graduation? i'm talking about the first exam needed in the sequence of exams used to become a PE (professional engineer).

here in texas, it is called the FE (fundamentals of engineering) exam, and used to become an EIT (engineering in training).

I'll be taking the FE this Saturday. Our department imposed deadline to have our car running is Friday. An eight hour test after a week of no sleep. I can take it again in the fall, right? http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

All of us at our school graduating this May are taking it. We're required to by our curriculum, but we still get our degrees whether or not we pass (the school just wants to see the statistics).

What exams are people going to take? Both General, or General and ME?

general. it's the easy way to go, from what i've heard.

abet schools supposedly have a 80% passing rate, which is strange because i dont see why a non-abet student would take it, since you have to graduate from a abet-acredditted school to be a PE. at least, that's what i've heard.

could be wrong though.

still, A&M has a 95% pass rate, so i'm not too worried. i'm just looking over the supplemental formula book, and some math and thermo notes. should be good enough.

I was on the exact same schedule here until I said to hell with the second part around 3:00. So the drinking got bumped up to 3:01. http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Had two kegs and alot of cheap tequila waiting. Been told I had a really good time.
