I am currently starting a project where I am going to turbocharge my 1986 Honda 250R. It is a two stroke 250cc that will rev very high (not sure exactly). I want to use a garrett gt12, but my only concern is the reed valve on the two-stroke motor. I dont know what will happen if boost is introduced, and how the reeds will react. I have basically everything figured out, and this and money are the only two things holding me back from starting right now. Any input would be awesome thanks.

2-stroke turbo engines do not work right. Most of your boost will flush straight out through the exhaust ports.

Turbo two stroke snowmobiles are fairly common, especially out west. If I were going to do it, I'd go to this forum:

http://www.snowest.com

and try to carefully sift the knowlege from the bullshit. It is not a forum of engineers so they are not as well behaved or well informed as this formum tends to be on average, but if you look carefully there are people there who know their stuff.
