View Full Version : Full-time Mechanical Engineer & Internship Position in PA

High Performance Vehicle Engineering, Inc. has an immediate opening for a mechanical engineer. We are looking for both a full time engineer and/or summer intern (paid). High Performance is a small specialty manufacturing shop in Easton, PA which deals with the automotive, biomedical, bolting tool, aviation and motorsports industries. We are in need of a highly motivated and driven individual who will need to wear several hats in a fast paced manufacturing environment. The below skills are for a full-time candidate only. Internship candidates must be highly motivated and have AutoCAD and general manual machining skills, CNC a plus, will train.

Required Skills:
· B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
· 2-year Associates Degree in CAD/CAM - Manufacturing with 2-4 years experience an acceptable alternative
· Experience operating/programming 3-axis CNC Vertical Machining Centers and/or 2-axis CNC Turning Centers – Experience with Fadal VMC and Daewoo Puma Lathes a plus
· Knowledge of basic G-Code programming required – Knowledge of CAD/CAM Software a plus
· Ability to read a manufacturing print and understand the dimensioning and tolerance requirements.
· Experience using manual machining equipment (Bridgeport, Engine Lathe, etc.)
· Proficient use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel a must, knowledge of a 3-D Modeling Package (i.e. ProE, Solidworks) a plus
· Experience in Heat Treating High Alloy Steels a plus but will train

Job Responsibilities:
· Create 2D 3-View Shop Prints from Customer Drawings/Sketches for Production/Prototype Components
· Handle CNC Programming for Lathe Department
· Handle Inspection/Quality Control of Production Components
· Design/Develop Customer Prototypes
· Handle Heat Treatment of High Alloy and Tool Steels
· Operate CNC Mills/Lathes for Manufacture of Prototype Components
· Set-Up CNC Mills/Lathes for Production
