Hey all our team is plaaning to buy ABS kit of honda cbr and planning to use rotors and calipers from wilwood....is there going to be any compatibility issues doing this???

definetely.
At first it seems to be not a good idea to use a motorcycle ABS for a 4-wheeled car. Despite the obvious reason of the different number of wheels, the weight transfer should also be very different. Additionally the state-of-the-art ABS ECUs do a lot of plausibility checks to ensure the system's integrity. Your self designed brake system will fail in passing these checks as at least the absolute pressures and pressure gradients will not match the stock ones.
Long story short: If you are not able to properly adjust the ABS control parameters through direct access to the ECU, you will end up with added weight and complexity and absolutely no gains. It will just drive your drivers crazy, if you are able to get it to work somehow.

thanks very much for the advice.....what would u suggest v should do? as buying an ABS kit of a 4 wheeler would cost too much for our team......so we tried considering that option

First and probably most important question:
Do you need an ABS? Are there maybe several other fields in which you may gain points way easier?

Do not expect perfomance boosts from ABS. It helps, but only if your car is already up to a certain level. I am telling from experience, since we were the first team to implement ABS back in 2007 in an FS car and we had a hard time defeating our decision in the Design Report http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I have to agree with Tobias here. In Theory an ABS will surely help, especially if you have drivers without any racing experience.
We used an Bosch M4 Kit (probably best and lightest on the market) last year in our car.
Unfortunately the ABS had not the effect we hoped for. We believe that the additional 2kg were more of a disadvantage compared to the small upside.
To confirm that, we did some testing with different drivers with and without the ABS and the result was very disappointing, meaning the lap time difference where minimal to none, so we decided to throw it out again.
I suggest you save the money and the weight and invest it somewhere else in your car.

Well, our experiences were different. We saw a drop in laptimes on one single lap aka Autocross as the drivers were more confident with respect to late braking.
Additionally we saw more constant lap times during endurance testing and especially a way faster recovery of lap times after missing a brake point. So overall we were able to justify using an ABS, in our case from Continental.

A side effect of using ABS was more stability during braking and downshifting at the same time and of course the ability to brake until the apex, but surprisingly that only had minor effects on lap times.

well thats quite encouraging.....regardin pressure gradients can we alter its values in the ABS ECU according toour needs?and if its possible then how to do it...kindly let me know
