Manufacturing Engineer in CleanTech Start-Up Company

Company Overview:
Advanced Transit Dynamics, Inc. (ATDynamics) is an early stage company dedicated to the rapid commercialization of fuel efficiency technology in the global transportation industry. Founded in 2006, the company has developed and patented a line of aerodynamic equipment for the long-haul trucking industry and is now expanding its production and distribution network throughout North America.

Position Overview:

New equipment has been ordered and will soon be delivered to the company’s new space in South San Francisco; there is an immediate opening for someone with the know-how and ambition to help get it all set up and run the company’s production cell. The manufacturing will mostly be stainless steel sheet, cut on a CNC plasma cutter and then bent to net shape using a press brake. There will also be some cutting and welding of stainless steel square tubing.
Ideal candidate will have experience with machine shop equipment (both manual and CNC), strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers and workers. Candidates with interest or experience in the trucking, automotive, or manufacturing sectors are preferred.
