Design Development Engineer – Plano, Texas

Traxxas is looking for talented candidates who have a passion for technology and performance to join our engineering team. Traxxas is seeking professional, enthusiastic, design/development engineers with excellent mechanical aptitudes and strong technical communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

-Enthusiasm for automotive development and high-performance vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATV's, boats, aircraft, etc.)
-A high level of hands-on mechanical ability.
-Ability to work in all aspects of vehicle design and development, including suspension, engine, drivetrain and chassis.
-Must have a basic understanding of vehicle dynamics
-BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
-FEA software and solid modeling experience ((Preferably with SolidWorks, Pro-Engineer, Solid Edge, or Catia).
-4 years of mechanical engineering experience.
-Experience in the development of consumer products from initial concept through production.
-Strong written communication skills.
-Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook).
-Experience with radio controlled vehicles and/or full size automotive vehicles is a definite plus. (Please elaborate on this experience.)
-Understanding of the following manufacturing processes: Injection molding, die casting, and machining.
