Hi everyone.
I've got a question about fuel rail design.
According to the rules- (B.8.8.1)"Plastic fuel lines between the fuel tank and the engine are prohibited"
We're using PC40 engine from honda cbr 600rr, equipped with plastic rails. Do we need to replace it with metal ones or does the rule imply only to lines, not including rails?
Regards.

that is a good question. If I had to take a guess they would not like it. If you do want to use that send an email to FSAE. collegiatecompetitions@sae.org

An easy way to make a fuel rail:

http://www.rossmachineracing.com/dash6.html

there is a tool that they sell too for cutting the ports for the injectors.

Hope that helps,

Bart, there is no point asking that question here.
Regardless of what the answer may be, it bears no relevance as the members of this forum have no authority to make such decisions.

This question needs to be sent to the FSAE Rules Committee
