I've been trying to find some offset/backspacing info for different wheels. Some manufacturers just say 'any backspacing' but there must be a limit somewhere. Others are 1/2" increments to a max of 4" (for 6" rim).

If you could post your wheel manufacturer/model, diameter, width, backspacing (or et) and weight(if possible) then I can make a list to save time calling manufacturers.

We're currently looking for a 13x6 with an ET of about 38-42

Thanks,

I know Panasport makes a 13x6 with 42mm of offset. I am unsure of the weight. I did call about a set awhile back and found one place that offered them for approx $170 another was $185. I only called a couple of places so this is probably not the lowest price.

Give Keizer a try:

www.keizerwheels.com (http://www.keizerwheels.com)

Go under the FSAE section and have a look. Give them a call, they have been quite helpful to us.

Unfortunately I have no info on their 13" as we run 10", however I would guess they have more availability in 13" anyways. Good luck.

I think as a team we've decided we'll never have keizer wheels on a car of ours again... Bad customer support, etc. I'd recomment looking at kodiak motorsports, BBS, Panasport, etc. I've heard dozens of problems with the keizers... But mostly they sell wheel offsets that they shouldn't sell, given the design of their wheels. (ie: in certain offsets, their wheels are very weak) Anyway, just sharing some of our experiences.

For 13X6in wheels...

1)Kodiak motorsports
http://www.kodiakmotorsports.com/

rebates for FSAE teams and your offsets are avaible (give them a call to confirm the exact number, it's even faster than asking it on the forum http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif)
Look good in my opinion, choice of some colors, first year we use them so I don't have any idea of their resistance. Weight: 3.23 Kg

2) Keiser
Just take care while mounting tires. Choose a competent tire mounter, or the rims will bend pretty fast. The offset are in the same range. (Again a call isn't long). Claim to weight 7 pounds if I'm right. Whey weighted ours at ~4.36 Kg (with 4 X 12 mm wheel nuts)

3) BBS
Offer FSAE prices like the 2 above. Heavier (9 pounds for 7in width, but our "rain rims" are old, so it could have changed ) than Kodiak, but I'm pretty sure they are stiffer.

By the way for "rain rims", check for some used Formula Fords wheels or stuff like that. We got a pretty good price for ours, because 8 brand new rims( + rain tires) can become expensive rapidly.
