Customs Procedure

Does anyone by any chance know what forms are to be filled out etc. for entering the states with the car for the competition? We were threatened last year by the border guy that he could impound our vehicle for not reporting what we had b4 we crossed the border.

Well calling ahead is a good idea for sure. I think that is the biggest thing really.

We took a letter from our Dean just stating what we were doing, and on the university letterhead, etc. Its nothing legal, but it does show some consideration at least. Also make sure all your members have passports and visa's if necessary. We had 1 guy that didn't sort that stuff out before hand and he ended up being turned away at the border when we crossed. A pretty difficult situation to say the least.
