Sorry I can't answer your question. We are having a problem finding a 13 tooth for an F4i.

AFAM makes a 13 tooth for the F4i. They offer a small discount for FSAE teams.

Thanks for the info. We've found a way to get a 12 tooth, but we'll keep that AFAM sprocket in mind.

Thanks for the help. We've already bought a different sprocket combo, but if funds permit we will probably go back to the 13 setup that we had in mind.

Found a vendor or found a way to make your own? We made our own last year but would rather buy.

We contacted AFAM. They told us that they never ended up making the 13. It turns out there was an issue with the chain and the swingarm trying to occupy the same space with the F4i's.

We had a 13T in 2001. It came from the UK. I'll see if I can dig it up.

How about a 12 tooth for a Kawi gx64? Best I've found is 13 for that as well.

I have a 13 tooth AFAM countershaft sprocket in my possession for our F4i. I'm not remembering the pitch but I BELIEVE it was available in 520 and 525.

Would you like me to try to get one for you if they have it? They're about 10 minutes up the street from my school.

Let me know.

I believe Sprocket Specialists will make any sprocket you want.

They will, but you have to buy 6 of them, and its a 3-4 month lead time.

Sounds like just enough time if you are lucky!!

Just enough time if you don't want your car running until May! Doesn't do you much good if you want to be on the chassis dyno next month http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Sprocket specialists told me they would have to make 8, but only a one month lead time.

Still too much time and money for us.

Hey Nam Tran, is there any chance you can find out if they are still making those (CBR 600 F4i 13 tooth pitch 520 or/and 525)

Thanks a lot....

Hey, Thanks for the help. We took another look at our setup and I was told the 14 that we got is going to be good enough.

I went up to AFAM today. They have a 520 pitch 13 tooth Countershaft sprocket for the F4 and F4i. I was told by the guy that they never had a 525 picth 13 tooth Countershaft sprocket...which is weird because I count 13 teeth on mine.

At any rate, if I need to buy two sprockets, the price will be $25 each. I'm going to beg and plead for $20 each if I buy three. Shipping to anywhere in the US shouldn't cost more than $4 via priority mail. Send me an e-mail if you are interested. I'll probably pick these up Friday after my midterms.
