Hey Ya all

We are starting up a new FSAE Team and we could do with some pointers. Nothing new you say, well we are the first in New Zealand to start FSAE, our nearest FSAE university is 2000km away. This means we need all the help we can get.

have a look at the team management styles thread (http://fsae.com/eve/forums?q=Y&a=tpc&s=763607348&f=125607348&m=7546005453&p=1). that should help to begin with. if you have any specific questions ask away. otherwise, its worth reading through this forum, there is a ton of useful stuff on here, especially in the open discussion section.

good luck!

Hi Kiwi

How'd you enjoy the rugby the other day??? What a game! Shame about those Poms though...

Seriously, you should make sure you come to the competition in Adelaide. It might be difficult to get there on such short notice but you'll learn a lot. When our team started we sent a few people over to Melbourne and it really helped, and to prepare for our US campaign we sent a guy over this year.

Even if only one or two guys get to go then make sure you take the opportunity, pay your own way if you have to. Try and catch up with us if you like!

Cheers
Dave

oh yeah, when you guys start looking for sponsorship, use the potential sponsor's patriotism to get them to give you money. we have convinced a few sponsors by saying that we are the only team from our state. you should do even better, being the only team from your country. and its another chance to beat us "sheep-shaggers" as i think you guys say? http://fsae.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hey, hey the rugby's a sore point, but it's still 2-1 to us.

We have a dude who might be going over to watch, so if you see some one taking measurments and asking lots of question thats him.

We are going to try and buy kiwi made where we can but there arn't many thing made for FSAE.
