Hey everyone, I'm a member of a team trying to get on its feet down in Macon, GA at Mercer University. Everyone on the team is pretty much new to all of this barring a few exceptions. What I'm looking for are some sites, papers, or books that anyone found helpful when designing an engine cooling system from scratch. Also does anyone know of any helpful simulation software available on the net for free or a small fee. I'd appreciate anything you can think of. We're literally starting from absolutely no equipment, software, and limited knowledge other than engineering courses.

Thanks!

There is a thread a while back on Radiator Design. Check that out, as it is pretty good. As for simulation software, engine-wise, there is Virtual 4-Stroke for $100.........

We're using a CBR1100XX radiator. It's aluminum, very light, flat, and plenty big enough to keep any 600cc motorcycle engine cool. Also, the '93-'95 CBR900RR radiators are flat. One or two electric fans, and you will never overheat.
