This morning, a commuter train between Sydney and Wollongong derailed at speed and in the resultant accident, unfortunately there was multiple loss of life and serious injury.
Sadly, today was registration day at the University of Wollongong, and it would appear that some of those passengers lost and injured were Students travelling to Wollongong to enrol or register.
Please join me in offering our condolences to our friends at UOW on their sad loss. Out here in FSAE land we are all thinking of you.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy !

Thank you to all for your support. I believe that 2 students and 3 staff from the university were injured. I don't know any more than that; if there is any news we will let you know.

Regards,

Fergus Wilson,
