How much do funding does everyone get?

Just curious. We got $10k this past year from the student activity fee fund.

They have yet to end our program, that is all they have done.

We received $2500 from our university through an undergraduate research program.

Other than that, they let us keep using the 400 square foot shop that they've provided to previous teams.

We received $1500 this year from the ME department and have had to find the rest on our own. Several of us contribute funds out of our own pockets which is not easy since most of us are sponsored by Team Financial Aid Racing... Oh, and to show further "support" the department is supposedly reclaiming our already tiny lab so an assistant dean can build a hydrogen bus in there (nevermind the safety issues they seem to have overlooked with that one). So now four student projects (FSAE, FutureTruck, HPV, and Aerobrick) will be crammed into one lab.

We recieve about $3500 per semester from our student activity fees. However, with the 3.6 million dollar budget cut the school just took, we'll be lucky if they let us keep the electricity in the shop turned on next year.

The plus side to being poor is that Denso took pity on us with their huge grant we're using to build a new shop shared by us and Baja.

We get about $3K indirectly through undergraduate research grants applied for and received by team members. We can use this for R&D mostly. Otherwise, we get space, which we compete for with other project groups (sometimes successfully, sometimes not...) The lion's share of the budget is through sponsors.

We get no money from our university. But I guess it is a different case with us, since we don´t pay more then 10 bucks for our education. We find, or have to find everything from private sponsors. This year things won´t be easy, since our economy got wasted.

For this years car, we got a new workshop, besides the old one. So the old one, turned into the designing area, and the new one, about 75 meters away.... into the real WorkShop..

We didn't receive anything from our University. We had to find private sponsor.
We can't use the university laboratories, so we had to find a private area to build our car, and machines to mill our components.
