We are running Virtual Engine simulations and were wondering about the flywheel to floor losses. We are counting the primary reduction, gearbox, transmission chain, diferential and tires and estimated about 75% of efficiency.
This is our second year and we don't have dyno data so we can compare the power at the flywheel to the power at the wheels. Plus, we beleive our dyno run in Michigan in 2002 was performed incorrectly.
Has anyone made some experimental calculation on this? how much do you estimate the losses are? I've heard Ricarde WAVE software can simulate powertrains, anyone with this package can share some data.
Thanks a lot,
