Our established championship-winning open wheel racing team is looking for various full time and season contract personnel for 2009 and beyond due to expansion of operations. Based in Toronto, Canada, the openings are with immediate effect; consequently early application is required.

Race Mechanic

Must have a minimum of 2 years of full time motor racing experience (open wheel preferred) and demonstrate a high attention to detail. A strong mechanical or engineering style background is preferred. The successful candidate will show that he/she is capable of running an open wheel racing car with minimal supervision and to a high standard of preparation, working as part of a multi-car team under a Crew Chief.

Race Mechanic

Some experience of racing (preferably open wheel) required, although any relevant motorsports experience will be considered (such as sports cars, karting or motorcycles). Working under the supervision of the No.1 mechanic and/or the Crew Chief (depending on experience), the candidate will be expected to show a good level of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Junior Mechanic/Trainee

Requires good mechanical aptitude, common sense and attention to detail. Will be working under direct supervision, but will be expected to work largely alone (on limited projects) relatively quickly within the training programme. Ideal opportunity for enthusiastic individuals hoping to progress to a career in racing.

Junior Data Engineer

Assisting and reporting to the team Race Engineer, responsibilities will include monitoring of the data system run on the cars, maintaining the various databases for tracking components and spares, and record keeping of track sessions and parameters, among other duties. The right candidate will have high computer literacy, with MS Word and relatively high MS Excel experience preferred, as well as either experience of (or an aptitude to learn) data collection software, computer networks, databases and Matlab. In addition, supervised mechanical work on the cars will be expected.

All positions require healthy, hard-working, diligent and responsible individuals who can function well within a team, and candidates must be able to travel frequently for work abroad (worldwide). As such, they must have a valid passport. Flexible work hours apply as testing programmes require the team to be away for several days at a time and races occur on weekends and frequently over holidays. While all positions are full time, part time or seasonal may be considered for the right candidate.

Applicants should send resumes detailing all relevant experience and references to the following address:
