View Full Version : KTM Crank Position Sensor

So this year we're running a 2004 KTM 450. We are also using a Performance Electronics ECU, mainly because its what we're used to and we don't have to buy another ECU. Usually these ECU's use a missing tooth wheel to measure the signals at TDC.

I just need to know if the stock sensor would be a plug and play type of thing.

If the stock sensor won't work, then there's no possible way i could fab up a wheel to fit anywhere inside the crank case or stator case. I would have to add components to modify the signal of the sensor to the ECU, or build a shaft that extends outside of the stator case and come up with a way to seal it. Which doesn't sound too easy...


What do you guys normally do for single cylinder engines??
