We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer I. The Engineer will work for the UAV business area reporting to the Propulsion Engineering Lead. The Engineer will be responsible for propulsion sub-system design, development, and support tasks for various aircraft engine types including turbine, reciprocating, rotary, and electrical. Air vehicle installation tasks may include design, development, and testing of engine mounting, cooling, inlet and exhaust, electrical power generation, control, and fuel metering. Engineering support tasks may include liaison with manufacturing, repair depot, and field service. Responsibility includes engineering documentation associated with these tasks.

Successful candidates must possess a Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Must demonstrate solid engineering fundamentals and write at the collegiate level. Prefer at least one year engineering experience particularly with engines or aircraft. Experience is any of these areas a big plus: Formula SAE, engine design or manufacturing, motorsports, aviation. Specific experience with engine controls or aircraft engines is highly desirable. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be capable of obtaining a government security clearance.
