Senior Design Engineer

Description:
Mechanical design engineer capable of supporting multiple aspects of gasoline engine detail design and analysis. Ideal candidate would have demonstrated mechanical design abilities including new product conceptual design and problem solving, ability to perform stress analysis, and tolerance stack-ups. Ideal candidate would be creative, energetic, and eager to apply and expand their engineering skills. Familiarity with reciprocating engine fundamentals, materials, manufacturing methods, and Nastran FEA software.

Requirements:
·BS/MS Eng (ME/AE) with design background ·4+ yrs exp detailed hardware design·

Lead and coordinate engineering activities with other functions (e.g. manufacturing, suppliers, quality control, purchasing, material engineering and reliability engineering) to ensure delivery of products meeting requirements·

Generate technical solutions for current, new and major programs;

Perform complex design analysis;

Develop engineering designs;

Implement engineering changes·

Ability to review and direct others·

Poficient with Unigraphics and common PC software packages·

Willingness and understanding of how to increase and update company capabilities·

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical information·

Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills·

Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean processes·Accomplishments which reflect teamwork, leadership, integrity

Lead Product Development Engineer - Electronic Engine Controls
Description:
Electronic Engine Control system technical leader/detailed design owner for multi-cylinder, safety critical, piston-powered aircraft installations.



Owner of EEC architecture; production and field issues; cost reduction; advanced diagnostics enhancements; EEC design responsibility for electronic engine system development.



Responsible for translation of engine, system, electrical integration and sensor engineering inputs into ECU functional h/w, s/w and control requirements; requirements input to hardware (h/w) and software (s/w) teams; control analysis/simulation/design and implementation in Matlab for auto-coding; review leadership; integration of h/w, s/w and control; execution of validation on simulators and aircraft.



New engine/fuel system responsibilities include EEC architecture design, trade-off analysis, h/w functional definition, vendor selection, control development and prototyping.



Provide technical leadership to other EEC team members for delivery of their assigned h/w, s/w, or control components.

Reqirements:

Exp with gasoline engine preferred, including: fuel-metering, ignition, temperature/pressure, engine protection, knock systems, turbocharger controls, power generation systems, and integration w/supervisory control·

Exp with Matlab Simulink/StateFlow/Real-Time Work Shop preferred·FAA software and hardware certification experience, DO- 178D desirable·

H/w, s/w and control integration experience·

Working knowledge of electro-mechanical system modeling·

Exp in component and system level integration & validation testing·

Ability and willingness to work "hands-on" on aircraft and in test cells·

Travel is expected to development partner, vendors and customer location·

Description:
Perform engine calibration and software validation activities for an electronic engine control system. This includes development of test procedures, oversight of testing activities, engine, calibration of electronic management system, performance evaluation and reporting test results.
Reqirements:
·BS/MS Eng (EE/ME/CE) with controls focus;·4+ yrs exp detailed control design.

Exp with gasoline engine preferred, including: fuel-metering, ignition, temperature/pressure, engine protection, knock systems, turbocharger controls, power generation systems, and integration w/supervisory control·

It does not say that you need work experience. Experience is key, regardless of where it came from.
